The space between the two stitch markers is a single repeat. It’s 20 rows and takes about 20 minutes. There are 56 repeats in the border. (That’s over 18 hours if you can’t do that math quickly in your head…). I do a lot of counting when I knit. And mental math. {I have 13 repeats done, so that means I have 43 left to go. Wait, is it 13 or 14 repeats done? I’d better count them again…..} It’s not just knitting. I do this when I make quilts, too. I count and recount blocks and pieces and throw myself in a rising when I’ve counted wrong or a piece falls on the floor. Anybody else with the mental math thing? (In case you are wondering, it is 13 repeats done and that is just over 23% of the border…) #knitting #evenstarshawl #suzanneknits…
